Chiryu City Welfare Center for the Physically Disabled provides a variety of consultation for physically disabled people, and it is also a facility for enhancing adaptability to social life and promoting welfare of the physically disabled through creative activities and the like.
Available for people who live in the city and carry a physical disability booklet or a physical disability booklet certifying receipt of special care, and his/her caregiver.
Hours: 9:00 – 17:00
Closed: Mondays and public holidays, and year-end and New Year’s holidays (12/28 – 1/4)
Type of use
1.(Day services for physically disabled people and participation in events
You must fill out an application form at the office counter of the Welfare Center for the Physically Disabled.
2.Individual use
You must present a physical disability booklet or a physical disability booklet certifying receipt of special care, to the staff at Welfare Center for the Physically Disabled for permission.
3.Group use
When the facility is used for a physically disabled (children) group, upon filling out an application form for groups, you must submit it to the office counter of the Welfare Center for the Physically Disabled, no later than two weeks prior to the planned day of use.

Classes such as Tai Chi and calisthenics are provided.

Classes such as personal computer, Japanese paper-tearing art, local history study, flower arrangement, painting, tole painting, handmade crafts, and welfare consultations are provided.

Classes such as karaoke, patchwork quilting, and penmanship are provided.
