Exchange Between Cities: Introduction of Friendship and Sister Cities

In this age of decentralization, Chiryu City intends to develop cultural exchanges with associates in other parts of the world who can become good partners.

The city concluded a friendship city agreement with Ina City in Nagano Prefecture in November 1994, and a sister city agreement with the City of Wyndham, Australia, in February 2000.

Furthermore, at the Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan “Love the Earth Expo,” the Republic of Iceland became a partner as a friendship country of Chiryu City.
