On Wednesday, July 13, Icelandic school choirs visited three junior high schools in the city, had school lunch, and held assemblies.
Members of school choirs are between 13 and 16 years old. Although the members could not communicate with the junior high school students well verbally, they communicated with each other well nonverbally. The fact that they were of similar age helped them becoming friends with each other.

23 members of the Kársness School Choir visited Minami Junior High School. After school lunch, they were welcomed by all of the school students gathered in the gymnasium. The assembly began.

After the drum club played the drum to welcome the members, the members who went up to the stage showed great interest in the Japanese drums and learned how to play the instrument.

The members sang in chorus to show their appreciation. The junior high school students were amazed at the impressive Iceland traditional chorus. They were enraptured by the singing voices of the choir that tours Europe as well, forgetting about the heat.
