The following documents will be sent out to the households of children who plan to enter elementary schools.
• Notifications of health checkups are sent out late in October. Children must receive health checkups at the specified schools.
• Notifications of admission are sent out late in January. The “name of the school and time/date of the entrance ceremony” will be described in the notification of admission. You must submit the notification of admission to the school that the child is entering on the day of the entrance ceremony.
* In the event that you have not yet received notification of entrance, or mistakes are found in the notification, you are requested to promptly contact the School Education Section.
In the event that your child has moved outside the school district of the school that he/she currently attends, the school will be changed, as a rule. In that case, you must follow the necessary procedure as indicated below.
When entering a new school from outside the city
1. Upon completion of the procedure for an address change (entering a new school) at the Civic Affairs Division, go to the School Education Division, Counter 15, on the second floor.
2. Upon submission of notification of entering a new school, the Civic Affairs Division will issue a “Notification of entering a new school” specifying the school to enter.
3. Submit the “Notification of entering a new school” and the accompanying documents issued at the previous school (student registration certificate and provided textbook certificate) to the specified school.
