Chiryu City provides a school expenses subsidy system for those who have difficulty sending their children to school due to domestic financial problems. The school expenses subsidy system is intended to help pay the expenses of stationery, school lunches, and school excursions that are necessary for children in their school life.
In the event that the household of a child falls under any of the following, and the household is acknowledged to be in need of subsidy, the household will receive such subsidy.
(1) The household receives coverage based on the living protection law, but no educational subsidies are given or are temporarily suspended.
(2) Coverage based on the living protection law has been revoked or temporarily suspended.
(3) Citizenship tax is treated as tax-exempt.
(4) The household receives a reduction and exemption of citizenship tax.
(5) The household receives a reduction and exemption of fixed property tax.
(6) The household receives a reduction and exemption of national pension payment.
(7) The household receives a reduction and exemption of national health insurance tax.
(8) A parent/guardian receives child-care allowance.
(9) The household has received loans for household reconstruction.
(10) A parent/guardian carries a booklet certifying eligibility for an unemployment relief project
(11) A parent/guardian is a daytime employee registered with an unemployment agency.
(12) Living conditions are not good due to the death of the primary wage earner, or long-term bed rest or other reasons.
