How to pay your water bill

There are two methods of payment: payment at the counter and account transfer payments.

[Payment at the counter]      
* A bill will be sent between the end of the meter-inspection month and the beginning of the next month.

The city municipal government (designated financial institutions or the Water Management Division): From 8:30 am to 5:15 pm on weekdays (from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm at designated financial institutions).
* Outside of the above hours, the after-hours counter (night-time office) will receive your deposit. Please prepare exact amounts (we will send you a receipt at a later date).

Lirio branch (North of Chiryu station. Please click here for the map: external link to the Lirio homepage): From 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekends and holidays.* It is closed every Thursday and during the new year.

Dealing financial institutions are described on the payment notice (counters at the main office and branch offices of financial institutions in Chiryu. Main offices and branch offices outside of Chiryu can also be used, but post offices cannot be used).

Please pay your water bill before the due date indicated on the payment notice.

[Account transfer payment]

* Account transfer payment amount (pre-estimated) is described on the water meter inspection slip. A bill will not be sent to the users.
(However, if a water bill is paid through an account transfer, we will withdraw sewerage fees from the same account that we withdraw water fees from.)
If you would like to pay through account transfer, we will receive your application at the counter of any dealing financial institution listed below whenever necessary (forms are stored in every financial institution counter within Chiryu city). If you cannot visit a financial institution, you can send an application by mail by requesting a form from the Water Management Division (phone is also acceptable).

* While the city municipal government will also accept payments, if you would like to use the Japan Post Bank, please process payments at the counter of your Japan Post Bank branch as there are different processes and forms. You can check the amount to be withdrawn and the date of the withdrawal by referring to your Water consumption notice, so please check your account balance before the withdrawal date. We do not accept payments by account transfers from institutions other then the above financial institutions or from credit carts or convenience stores.
