Supply of welfare benefits

For who is receivable

According to Health and Medical Service Law for the Aged, a part of burdens of medical treatment and medical care for seniors except high cost medical care is subsidized.

  • Certificate holders of welfare and medical treatment (disabled persons, single-mother families, mentally disabled persons and so on)
  • Compulsory hospitalized patients based on Mental Health and Welfare Law
  • The persons who are recognized to have the same requirements as the mandatory imprisoned patients according to Tuberculosis Prevention Law
  • The persons who live alone and whose city inhabitant taxes are nontaxable
  • The bedfast elderly persons whose city inhabitant taxes are nontaxable
  • The demented elderly persons whose city inhabitant taxes are nontaxable

 

Content of subsidies

The amount subtracting the high cost medical care from the copayment paid at the counter of the medical institutions is supplied.

  • Health insurance card
  • Seal
  • Bank account number whose name is pensioner’s (except Japan Postal Savings)
