Ordinance enforced on June 1, 2005
No illegally parked automobile! Don’t “park, permit, or pass over”!
“The ordinance regarding violation prevention and proper handling of illegally parked automobiles in Chiryu” became effective on June 1, 2005. This ordinance imposes a fine of up to ¥200,000 on the owners of illegally parked automobiles.
The aim is to eliminate the nuisance caused by illegally parked automobiles and to maintain and improve a safe and comfortable living environment for citizens.
It is prohibited for anyone to park a automobile in public areas that are managed by the city.
The attached warnings on the illegally parked automobiles provide a removal advisory and order for the owners.
Violators of the removal order will be fined up to ¥200,000.
Illegally parked automobiles causing a significant nuisance will be moved and retained. After a set period, if the owner is unknown, the illegally parked automobile will be subject to approval for processing as waste material.
