Nursery schools accept advanced reservations from parents whose maternity leave will end in 2007 and who would like to enroll their children in a nursery school.

Mothers whose maternity leave will end in 2007 and who are insured under social insurance or the like.

Applications will be accepted on an as-needed basis (if the number of applicants exceeds the enrollment limit, then admission for enrollment will be given in the order in which the applications were received).

You can get an application form at the counter of the Child Care Division or download it from here.

General applications can be received only on the first day of the month before the enrollment of your child. If a nursery school is already full when you applied, you may be asked to wait for enrollment.

If you use the advanced reservation system, you will be top priority for enrollment in a nursery school.

There are several reasons, including:

The need for child care is greater as they are working full-time for long hours.
Maternity leave is a system to support families raising children, and this advanced reservation system is for making the system more effective.
They can also make definite reservations because their date of reinstatement is usually set.
