Registration of seals

Registration of seals
Persons who apply	Applicant in person (*proxy)
Location	Civil Affairs Division counter at the City Hall (Registration procedure is not available at Lirio Branch)
Hours	Mon. – Fri. 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except holidays)
Items required	・Registered seal ・Driver’s license, passport, etc. (valid certificate issued by government or other public authority; with a facial photo imprinted with a seal overlapping the photo and the paper) ・Those who do not have the above documents of proof, certificate of person who has his/her own registration of seal and the seal are required.

One seal can be registered per person. Also, the same seal cannot be registered within the same household.

Application by proxy

Registration cannot be completed at a proxy’s first visit. After a proxy visits the City Hall, we will send a letter to the applicant to verify his/her intention to register the seal. The proxy must then bring in the letter to complete the process.

Fees	¥200 per certificate
Items required	Certificate of Seal Registration

In case of application by proxy, the personal seal of the proxy is also required.
